Can I be Forgiven?
This is a question that sometimes arises from someone who feels that they have committed the unpardonable sin. They feel that their sin or sins are too great for God to forgive.
It is written in the bible, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [John 3:16 NKJV]. Notice the word whoever – this is an All inclusive word. Meaning, if anyone is willing to believe and receive Jesus as Savior – he or she will receive eternal life. The arms of God are open wide to anyone who will receive His Son as Savior.
The fact is – there is absolutely nothing man can do to earn eternal life with God! There is no work that man can do, no or no amount of money he can pay to receive salvation.
Romans 6:23 declared: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. [NKJV]. This verse makes two simple statements. First – the wages of sin is spiritual death. Two – the GIFT of eternal life is through Jesus Christ. Jesus was sent to earth for only one reason – to be the Lamb of God and to suffer and die on the Cross and descended into hell itself to pay the price for the sin of mankind. He was resurrected on the third day and conquered sin.
God created man in His own image and likeness – and has a very special love for man. The bible say it is the will of God than none perish – but all repent and receive the Gift He has offered.
The answer to the question “ Can I Be Forgiven” is a resounding YES!
All one has to do is:
Acknowledge that Jesus is the Son Of God.
Believe that He died for our sins and was Raised on the third day.
Finally open your heart and Receive Jesus as Savior.
Say this simple prayer.
Heavenly Father repent of my sin.
I believe that Jesus is Your Son –
That He died on the Cross for my sins and He was Raised on the Third Day.
I now Receive Jesus into my hear as Savior and Lord!
