REWARDS – ARE – WAITING!

What we do in the NOW of life – will have an impact on our life in eternity.

For most, the day is filled with an abundance of activity – sometimes an over abundance. As human creatures we tend to program our days according to these activities and even develop habits to function in a robotic manner in living each day.

Unfortunately for some, serving God comes in at the bottom of the list. Because He is not physically in our sphere of time, He is not on the forefront of our thinking. It is only when a need comes up, and we suddenly need Him to do something – that we give Him any thought!

Again unfortunately this means we don’t take time to communicate with Him (pray) or read His Word. We reveal the attitude of – God, I’ll call you when I need You!

There is an abundance of blessing that belongs to the Child of God. If we take the time to study His Word we will find that there is a life of abundance and success that God has for us. Of course this will take time to build our faith in Him and develop a lifestyle to receive what He has for us. It must be a lifestyle where God is the One doing the leading and we do the following. 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares, This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (NLT).
Receiving Jesus as Savior is ONLY the beginning of our walk with God. We are expected to spend each day growing more and more into the image of Jesus.

If we truly live for God today, there will be rewards stored up for us in heaven. Paul said, “Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” (Colossians 3:24 NLT). This life is temporal on earth – we are just passing through. Eternity with Christ is our destination – and our REWARD!
