The Declaration of Loyalty

Heavenly Father
I Resolve this morning to stay steadfast and hooked up to You.
I Resolve to Trust ONLY in Your Word – and NOT the words of men.
I Resolve to reject Satan’s strategies, tricks, scheming as well as his temptations and

seductions – Keeping Your Word first in my life.
I Resolve to be led by the Holy Spirit – and NOT by man, demonic forces or desires of the

flesh.
I Resolve to be Faithful and True to You – from this day forward.
I Resolve to fight the good fight of faith – and NOT give up!
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ

This is a declaration the Lord gave me to stand on – December 25, 2012. It is a declaration I take seriously and declared daily for several months – until if was firmly implanted in my spirit. And I still make this declaration every week or two – and even daily when under attack by the devil.

2 Chronicles 16:7-9 is a message to king Asa, a man who once followed God and had experienced great victories because of God’s intervention. However, later in time of trouble Asa turned to king Ben-Hadad of Syria for help. Hanani the seer came to King Asa and warned him because of his decision. In verse 9 it is recorded, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.” (NKJV).

Notice the words, loyal to Him. Loyalty, real commitment to Father God is lacking in the Body of Christ today. In the word Resolve is loyalty and commitment. There is a trust that can come only from complete reliance on God and His Word! There are many voices speaking to us today. The voice of the Father, the voice of the Son, the voice of the Holy Spirit, the voice of the Word. These voices will always agree. There is the voice of the spirit of man, the voice of the soul of man, the voice of self-indulgence. There are the voices of the devil and his minions, then there are the voices of men.

Proverbs 3:5 directs us to, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding”. (NLT). Life is full of challenges calling for right decisions. But all too often we rely on our own reasoning or understanding rather than reaching out to our Father for direction. Making a daily declaration of Resolve to Trust in, have Confidence in and have Expectation in God and His Word will keep our compass pointed in the right direction. With firm Resolve to trust God and His Word – and a refusal to stray off course – making the right decision – becomes easier. Making the Declaration of Loyalty daily, firmly establishes our Resolve to stay loyal to our Heavenly Father in the depths of our spirit and will produce a strength unshakable in battle! When we focus our resolve on God and His Word our path becomes straight to success and victory is assured! This resolve is proven in the heat of battle by our actions and the words that come from our mouth.
